In order to facilitate the next phase of the N4 upgrade works, it will be necessary to reduce traffic to one lane eastbound and westbound from approximately 600m east of the L50292/L50293 junction up to the L5026 (Genesis) junction. The overtaking lane will be closed to traffic and the existing crossover points will be affected as follows:

Jons Civil Engineering Ltd, on behalf of Westmeath County Council, have commenced works on the N52 between Carrick Bridge and Clonfad. Works have now started on site. As part of the traffic management plan a reduced speed limit will be posted in February along the N52 for the duration of the works. These works may result in delays at peak times. The anticipated completion date is December 2012. Westmeath County Council regrets any inconvenience caused during the course of these roadworks.
